Having received his Bachelor of Arts in History at Queen’s College, Lawrence completed a Master of Arts in History and a Master of Science in Secondary Education with a focus on Social Studies. He began his career teaching 7th grade U.S. history in Whitestone, Queens just four days before the 9/11 attacks. He spent five years in an amazing, culturally diverse school in Flushing, teaching U.S. and World history before leading classes in Law, Economics, and Government at Far Rockaway High School. In 2008, Lawerence took a position at Connetquot High School teaching Global History, Geography, United States History and Government before relocating to Central Florida where he taught Geography and Social Studies subjects for Special Education students. Lawerence eventually moved back to Long Island to reunite with family, friends and his beloved New York Islanders.
