Completing his B.A. in psychology, Alex Alvarado graduated in 2016 from Macaulay Honors College (CUNY). From there, he went on to work in the special needs field, training as an ABA home therapist, which gave him experience working with children on the autism spectrum and those diagnosed with ADHD. In 2018, he was awarded a Fulbright teaching grant to lead English classes at a rural Malaysian secondary school for 10 months. Upon returning, Alex continued to build on his love of teaching by devoting himself to the test prep field, helping students of all abilities build their confidence through his quirky, personable, and engaging style. Currently, during daytime hours, he regularly substitutes for elementary school teachers in his local district. In his free time, Alex enjoys gardening, exploring nature, and watching documentaries.
