Hoover Online ACT Class
About The Course
This ACT online class includes 18 hours of instruction for the ACT. The class will cover all strategies for the science, reading, math and English portions of the test. This class is ideal for students looking for a solid foundation in all areas of the ACT. Classes are recorded for viewing at any time.
**Method Test Prep instructors will also customize the course’s curriculum based on common mistakes from previous PLAN tests or practice tests taken by students at Hoover High School.**
When: Tuesday/Thursday evenings 7 – 9 central time on the following dates:
March: 20th, 25th, 27th
April: 1st, 3rd, 8th, 10th, 15th, 17th
Cost: $399
Additionally, questions for the class will be assigned from The Real ACT Prep Guide – 3rd Edition. This book must be purchased before the start of the class. It is available at www.amazon.com and at bookstores.
About The Instructors
All of MTP’s instructors are extensively trained with the SAT/ACT and take the tests regularly. Most work hundreds of hours per year with students to prepare for the SAT/ACT. They have graduated top universities and are passionate about teaching.

What is the format of the course?Students will login via Adobe Connect to hear and see everything the instructor is writing via a virtual whiteboard. There is no additional cost to use Adobe Connect. What are the technical requirements to participate? Students will be able to complete the course from any computer with an internet connection and speakers. Students can also login via tablet or smartphone with the Adobe Connect app. Will I be able to interact with the instructor?
Yes. Students will be able to participate and ask questions via microphone or text chat. Does online learning really work? Students have a much easier time learning online than many parents would think. In fact, Method Test Prep ran a very similar class customized for Hoover students taking the PSAT in the fall. The instructors were able to customize the curriculum, which was geared towards students aiming for a National Merit Scholarship. Even the strongest students learned helpful strategies in the class.
